In today’s NHL rumor update, there is news on the Florida Panthers, the Arizona Coyotes and the Calgary Flames.

Panthers to Move Mark Pysyk?

The Athletic’s George Richards writes, Mark Pysyk of the Florida Panthers is once again in the trade rumor mill. A healthy scratch for the first two games of the Panthers season, he’s also got an expiring contract and deemed expendable by the team.

Speculation is that if Pysyk can get into a couple of games and play well, he may draw attention from other teams and be an option for a trade.

Alex Goligoski Tradeable?

The Athletic’s Craig Morgan notes in a recent article that Alex Goligoski’s No-Movement Clause expiring means that he could be moved. Now that he’s got a Modified No-Trade Clause that includes an eight-team no-trade list, Arizona may try to move him to a contender rather than keep him on a team that may be looking at a rebuild of sorts.

Goligoski is a reliable puck-moving defender, who at a cap hit of $5.475 million could get some interest from at least one of 22 teams. He’s a name to keep an eye on later this year.

Flames to Move Michael Frolik?

Sportsnet’s Pat Steinberg writes that the Calgary Flames are actively looking to make a “financially-motivated trade”. The name that comes up in trade conversation, and a name that’s been in the rumor mill before is Michael Frolik.

Frolik has not looked great through the team’s first two games and while continued struggles may affect his trade value, it makes it easier for the Flames to part with him should there be an interested team.
